Sam Gomersall is a seasoned commercial litigator with over 20 years’ experience representing insolvency practitioners, financial institutions, creditors and directors in complex investigations and disputes arising from major corporate collapses. These include professional negligence claims against company advisors and auditors, claims arising from breaches of directors’ duties, and challenges to securitised assets.
Sam regularly works in collaboration with law and accounting firms across the globe.
Sam’s current projects include representing liquidators in investigations and litigation in relation to several major corporate collapses in Asia arising from sophisticated management fraud, including in relation to a NASDAQ listed medical technology company, which have involved multi-layered investigations and multiple jurisdictions, and have included recent trials in Canada and Hong Kong.
Sam commenced his career in South Africa, and his experience includes advising on some of the largest insolvency projects there, and then in Australia and internationally after immigrating in 2009.
Sam is a principal and director of LK and sits on the firm’s management team.
